About CAASI

We find innovative solutions to solve community challenges through designing and implementing solutions in the data science realm.  Our projects come from local community organizations, who brainstorm data sources and potential solutions with us before any research teams are formed. We focus on providing practical, rapid prototypes for feedback.

Data Science for Social Justice (DS4SJ) Ecosystem

This project proposes a novel infrastructure to deepen Pitt’s impact in DS4SJ, improving connections across units and providing workplace-relevant student training in multidisciplinary teamwork.
